Vetrimaaran wants to make Vada Chennai with Simbu – Dhanush
Dhanush’s Vada Chennai most anticipated film of 2018, directed by Vetrimaaran is all set to Release for release on October 17. The film is 30 years in the life of a gangster from North Chennai.
Vada Chennai Pressmeet happened today, Dhanush told reporters, “The journey of Vada Chennai began in 2003 after Pollathavan. We wanted to work again and I suggested we do Vada Chennai. Vetrimaaran Said we have a market nor the budget to make this a film. Instead, we worked on Aadukalam”
Dhanush also revealed a interesting news, After Aadukalam, Vetrimaaran decided to take a break and join hands later. One Day, Vetrimaaran called and told me that he wants to make Vada Chennai with Simbu and he gave me a role in it and I refused it.
Later, Vetrimaaran called me again and told The project never took off with Simbu for Some reasons.

Meanwhile, in the gap, Vetrimaaran made another film and that was Visaaranai.
Dhanush Says, Vada Chennai went on the floors in 2016 and I blessed to have done this film. Due to the scale of the project, we made into three parts. We already have around 20 percent footage for the second part. We resume shooting from next year.
